The endangered Everglades snail kite has an almost exclusive diet of freshwater native and non-native apple snails. The persistence of native apple snails (Pomacea paludosa) depends largely on hydrologic regime and temperature. EverSnail is a size-structured population model that simulates the response of native apple snails to a range of water conditions that include timing, frequency, duration, all of which are important in Greater Everglades restoration decision making.
